Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about participating in the project.

Can I come alone or do I need a friend?
This project is specifically about celebrating friendships and connections. We encourage you to come with at least one friend or a small group of chosen family. If you're interested in a solo portrait, please get in touch at info@lisephotography.com and we can discuss other opportunities.
How many people can join a session?
Our sessions are designed for small groups, typically between 2 and 5 people. If you have a larger group of chosen family, please let us know in your registration form so we can plan accordingly.
What should we wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and authentic. There are no rules! Some people like to coordinate their outfits, while others prefer to just be themselves. The most important thing is that you feel like you.
Is it free?
Yes, participation in the Queer Friendships project is completely free. You will receive a selection of digital images for your personal use at no cost.
How will the images be used?
The images will be used as part of the Queer Friendships project, which includes this website, social media, and future public exhibitions. We will ask you to sign a model release form before the session to confirm your consent.
What if I feel nervous or camera shy?
That's completely normal! Many of our participants feel a bit nervous at first. Our sessions are very relaxed and informal. We'll spend some time chatting before we start, and we'll guide you through the whole process to help you feel at ease.
Is the space accessible?
We aim to use accessible spaces whenever possible. However, some of our current locations (like Pride Fest) may have limitations. Please check our Accessibility page for more detailed information and feel free to contact us with any specific requirements.
Can I bring a support person?
Absolutely! You are more than welcome to bring a support person, a family member, or even a pet if the venue allows it. Just let us know in advance so we can make sure everyone is comfortable.
