Lise Lecerf

I am an emerging artist working with photography, scan art, and mixed media. My practice explores identity, intimacy, and the ways emotional states can become visible through image, colour, and texture.

Working within queer contexts, my practice centres representation, authenticity, and connection. Through collaborative portrait sessions and project-based series such as Queer Friendships, I explore how people show up with and for each other, and how identity is shaped through these relationships.

Through portraiture, I explore the tension between visibility and concealment: how bodies appear, distort, and move within the photographic frame. Rather than presenting identity as fixed, my work creates space for ambiguity, gesture, and emotional presence.

Project Support

Alexandra Qian (She/her) - Technical and creative assistant

Alex supports Queer Friendships through creative and technical advice, as well as photography assistance during shoots. She is an experienced and qualified photographer whose input helps shape the project's visual and practical approach.

Camz (they/them) - Participant Support

Camz is part of the Queer Friendships team and will be there to welcome participants on the day. They'll help create a relaxed and supportive environment, answer questions, offer gentle pose suggestions if needed, and support participants throughout the photoshoot experience.

Linden (they/them) - Behind-the-Scenes Photographer/Videographer

Linden is helping document the project through behind-the-scenes photography and video. Their role is to capture the process, atmosphere and care behind the photoshoots, as well as provide general support on the day.

This project would not be possible without the support of our volunteers and community partners. If you'd like to help out, please get in touch.
